Fertility Acupuncture

About Fertility Acupuncture

If you are struggling to conceive naturally or have been told you have “unexplained infertility”, Chinese medicine may offer a reason for the lack of conception.

Amanda’s aim is to listen to you and support you throughout your journey. Acupuncture can be used to improve your chances of conceiving naturally or alongside assisted reproductive treatments.

She is happy to provide acupuncture to both you and your partner, as a very supportive way to look after emotional and physical health. She has supported hundreds of women on their individual journeys in London and in Kent.

Acupuncture can be timed around your cycle or assisted reproductive schedule. Each session is individualised to fit your personal Chinese medical pattern. Amanda recommends five weekly sessions followed by fortnightly sessions.

If you are aiming for natural fertility, her initial focus is to regulate your menstrual cycle, reduce any pain and tension and to regulate bleeding.

When working with assisted reproduction some patients prefer to start acupuncture prior to their treatment, to help prepare the body and address any underlying issues. Others require help with side effects of drugs and anxiety.
Acupuncture can be very useful around embryo transfer, during the two week wait and into your first trimester to lower the possibility of miscarriages.
